What is Walk for Good?
Walk For Good is an employee-led annual walkathon that began at 360insights in support of KANPE, an organization committed to empowering vulnerable communities in Haiti. Among its many vital goals, KANPE focuses on providing access to quality education, a cornerstone for sustainable development.
What are the funds used for?
Funds raised through past Walk For Good campaigns have directly supported the construction and delivery of new classrooms in Baille Tourible, Haiti which has led to a significant achievement that has provided a stronger foundation for education in the region.
Why are classrooms so impactful?
Education is one of the most powerful tools in the fight against poverty and oppression. It provides children with stability, structure, and hope, while unlocking future opportunities. Access to education promotes child well-being and is globally recognized as a key driver in breaking the cycle of poverty.
Through Walk For Good’s ongoing support of KANPE over the last 4 years (see notable milestones below, we’re helping to create safe learning environments, empowering youth, and laying the groundwork for a stronger, self-sustaining future - step by step, and brick by brick.
What are the long term goals?
Walk For Good is committed to advancing KANPE’s mission by supporting:
Free, quality health care and education
Self-reliant communities
Empowerment of women
Expanded economic opportunities
How are and will they be achieved?
These goals are achieved through:
Infrastructure development (e.g., schools and clinics)
Delivery of essential supplies (e.g. books, laptops)
Ongoing education and training for local teams to ensure long-term sustainability and maintenance of community resources
Notable Milestones
2 new school classrooms were constructed, directly expanding access to education and improving learning conditions. This investment led to increased student enrollment and higher school retention rates, especially among girls.
3 classrooms were renovated, and private latrines were added, with a focus on meeting the needs of girls. These improvements have helped reduce absenteeism related to menstrual hygiene and created a more inclusive learning environment.
The local church was converted into a secondary school, significantly reducing classroom overcrowding and creating a more focused and supportive educational setting. Private restrooms tailored to the needs of girls were also installed.
Local custom-built furniture, including desks and tables, was produced locally and installed in both schools. Solar panels were also added, ensuring reliable power and supporting more flexible use of the facilities.
The KANPE House was completed which was a major milestone establishing a multi-functional center for community engagement, education, and training. Since opening in January 2025, the KANPE House has become a hub for local leadership, partner collaboration, and skill-building. It stands as a symbol of long-term commitment and is a source of community pride.
Community Oasis underway, which is a future space dedicated to youth development, creativity, and entrepreneurship. Once complete, the Oasis will provide young people with opportunities for hands-on training, creative exploration, and leadership development.
Collectively, these initiatives have led to measurable improvements in education infrastructure, significantly easing overcrowding and reinforcing student retention. They have also created key community spaces that now serve as platforms for leadership development and greater local autonomy.
360insights believes in giving back to build a better world and to making a difference. What began as an internal initiative has grown each year, with support now extending to employees, community groups, business partners, and individual donors.
